Bouliac is a charming village just minutes from Bordeaux, with excellent local shops and great places to eat.
This small marketplace brings together a high-quality bakery, butcher and brasserie. The butcher offers excellent meats, charcuterie, sausages for the BBQ and a nice selection of wine. The bakery is known for its great bread, pastries and delicious cakes.
Every Friday morning, Bouliac hosts a small but very good-quality market at the Halles Vettiner — with a florist, fruit and vegetable stall, fishmonger and cheesemonger.
History lovers will enjoy visiting the village's Romanesque church, whose interior was entirely renovated in the 19th century.
Bouliac is home to Le Saint-James, a Relais & Châteaux hotel. When it reopens, it will feature both a bistro-style restaurant and a gastronomic restaurant (previously awarded one Michelin star).

Highly recommended for a romantic dinner or an evening with friends. The setting is beautiful and the food is consistently excellent.

Too tired to cook? Chez Croq is a small container-style food truck run by two sisters, serving excellent burgers and comforting homemade dishes.
We haven't had the chance to try it yet, but this vineyard-side guinguette looks very promising: generous sharing plates, drinks and a selection of local wines in a beautiful setting.
